11.6. Check and installation of the moment of ignition

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

The procedure of installation of the moment of ignition is applicable to almost all cars which are considered in this manual. If the order of installation of ignition specified in the podkapotny plate of the car differs from described below, then be guided by the instruction of the plate.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

	1. Connect a tachometer, being guided by the instruction of the manufacturer of the device 1 – a tachometer, 2 – the battery).
	2. Find the diagnostic socket and close накоротко conclusions of E1 and TE1 (the place of installation of the socket is specified in subsection 5.10).
3. At the switched-off ignition connect a stroboscope, being guided by the instruction of the manufacturer of the device. Almost all stroboscopes eat from the battery. Besides, on a high-voltage wire of the 1st cylinder the winding of the induction sensor of a stroboscope puts on.
	4. Find ignition moment tags on a forward cover and on a crankshaft pulley.
5. Warm up the engine, be convinced that turns of idling of the engine meet standard.
	6. Direct stroboscope light to a scale. The tag on a pulley of the crankshaft has to be opposite to the corresponding division of a scale.
7. If necessary weaken a bolt of fastening of the distributor and slowly turning the distributor, determine the ignition moment (see subsection 11.1).
8. Tighten a bolt of the distributor and again check installation of the moment of ignition.
9. Remove a crossing point and be convinced that the corner of an advancing of ignition meets standard.
10. Switch off ignition and remove devices.
