7.2.4. Release bearing

Removal, check and installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the working cylinder.
2. Remove transmission.
3. Get a spring bracket from a spherical support of a fork.
4. Remember as fastening of the release bearing to a fork looks, remove the bearing (a photo at the left). Remove a fork (a photo on the right).
5. Check a condition of a dust cover and a spring bracket. At detection of signs of wear replace these details.
6. The bearing has to rotate freely, otherwise replace the bearing.

Prevention

It is forbidden to wash out the bearing in solvent.


7. Before assembly grease with refractory lubricant of dredging under a spherical support of a fork, under a pusher of the working cylinder and the place of fastening of the bearing.
8. Establish a spring bracket (a photo at the left) and grease with refractory lubricant the bearing plug (a photo on the right).
9. Install the bearing on a fork.
10. Dress the bearing on a check point shaft. Pass a fork through a cover, grease a support and dress a fork on a support, having pressured her before click (a photo at the left). Check freedom of movement of the bearing on check point shaft vents (a photo on the right).
11. Slightly grease with refractory lubricant the persistent surface of the bearing.
12. Further assembly is carried out upside-down.
