GENERAL INFORMATION

The sequence of tightening of bolts of covers of radical bearings on 4-cylinder engines

The sequence of tightening of bolts of covers of radical bearings on V6 engines

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Arrange the block so that the lower part was turned up. Turn out bolts of covers, get covers and spread out them as their installation. Get from covers and the block of cylinders old inserts and absolutely wipe covers and beds.
2. Clear an external surface of new radical inserts with oil flutes, and carefully enclose them in beds of the block of cylinders. Enclose the corresponding reciprocal inserts in covers, having combined ledges with selections. Not to grease inserts.
3. Establish persistent half rings (in the 3rd support on 4-cylinder engines and in the 2nd – on V6).
4. Install the crankshaft and measure gaps in radical inserts. For this purpose put on a piece of a calibration wire on each radical neck of the crankshaft parallel to its axis.
5. Clear surfaces of inserts in covers, establish covers (a framework of covers on the engine 3VZ-FE) and tighten bolts in three steps with the set moment in the specified sequence (see rice. The sequence of tightening of bolts of covers of radical bearings on 4-cylinder engines or rice. The sequence of tightening of bolts of covers of radical bearings on V6 engines).
6. On V6 engines tighten bolts of covers on 90 °.
6. Turn off bolts and carefully lift covers, compare thickness of each of crushed a provolok with a scale on packing and determine gap size.
7. If the gap does not meet standard, then the wrong selection of dimensional group of inserts can be the cause. Make sure that at measurements between bearings and surfaces of covers there were no pollution or oil. If width of the crushed wire on the ends strongly differs, then the radical neck of the crankshaft has conicity.
8. Remove the remains of a wire from necks and remove the crankshaft.
9. Grease radical necks and the persistent surfaces of the crankshaft. Of a neck under an epiploon also install to Smazhye by molybdenic lubricant the crankshaft in the block of cylinders. Establish covers on former places so that shooters were turned towards a forward part of the engine. Establish half rings.
10. Establish the top ring, having turned it on a crankshaft neck. Flutes of a ring have to be turned outside.
11. The lower rings are inserted into a flute on a cover.
12. Tighten bolts in three steps with the set moment in the specified sequence (see rice. The sequence of tightening of bolts of covers of radical bearings on 4-cylinder engines or rice. The sequence of tightening of bolts of covers of radical bearings on V6 engines).
13. Check freedom of rotation of the crankshaft.
14. Check an axial side play of the crankshaft (see subsection 3.3.9.1).
15. Establish a back epiploon (see subsection 3.1.14 or subsection 3.2.15).
