6.3.3. Box lever

Removal and installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. On cars without selector of the forward bridge transfer the box lever to situation 4 High. On the cars equipped with the selector transfer the box lever to situation High and install the switch of a forward axis (2WD-4WD) in situation Off.
2. Unscrew the screw(s) of fastening of the handle and remove the handle.
3. On cars remove the handle of the lever of the transfer case from the manual transmission.
4. Remove the top forward panel of average section (see subsection 10.23).
5. Disconnect the socket from the switch of the selector of a forward axis (if the selector is provided).
6. On cars from the manual transmission unscrew 4 screws, remove a lever cover (a photo at the left) and a frame. Then get a lock ring (a photo on the right).
7. Remove the lever of the transfer case.
8. On cars with automatic transmission disconnect a rod from the lever, disconnect the socket, turn off 8 bolts and remove the mechanism of management in pine forest with the lever. Get a lock ring and remove the lever.
9. Install the lever upside-down.
